Boy Scout Trade-O-Rees are scheduled for nearly every weekend of the year (during normal times!) across the country. They are swap meets for Scouting memorabilia collectors put on as fund raisers for Scout units, OA lodges, councils or private collectors. You might see them held in church gyms, Holiday Inn rooms, Bingo halls, American Legion huts, summer camps, council offices etc. Typically the TOR sponsor rents the tables to vendors and may charge a nominal admission fee. Often times youth Scouts in uniform are welcome to attend at no charge (check with the sponsor!). TORs are great for sharing the history of Scouting, asking questions, window shopping, and of course the classic buy/sell/trade which is the bread and butter of the event. I have provided the following calendar from my contacts in the hobby and Internet searches. Please always reach out to the sponsor before making plans to attend the event as it’s possible the details have changed since the promotional flyer was created. Most importantly have fun and enjoy this great hobby by meeting people face to face and making a deal with a handshake.
